"Caribbean cabaret"

The atmosphere I wanted to give to this painting was a show hapening in the caribeans and this is also why the background is so fake. The sailor is the typical character to fool a young beautifull girl into his arms even though he's an incult who wants to have sex. the story in the cabaret is thus the one of a woman being fooled by the handsome guy and not noticing the one who loves her because he doesn't want to take the risk to become the sailor character who fools her himself.

This story is very much soap-like and it is done on purpose, that's why the painting is in the caribeans and looks like a strip from a comic book.

If there is a point to this painting it would be to ilustrate the films that we make in our heads about what happens to us, it ilustrates paranoia. in this sence it is in fact not worth more than a soap show.

"Blue dream"

Blue is the color of death and desire, dream is another word for fantasy. In this painting I take a big step and ilustrates a fantasy.

The white shape is an abstract shape representing two people having sex and the dark spot is there to ilustrate the fact that the couple is alone because the rest of the background is of a different and of an only colour. The dark spot gives this effect because it looks like the end of something or the end of a crowd.

Even if I dare paint a fantasy I make it very abstract showing perhaps that I'm ashamed of it even if it is very clear to me what the painting represents.

The fantasy is very simple but still precise, it isn't extroardinary neither it is just an intence moment of desire which usualy doesn't ocure the way you want it to.
